The Charro Foundation 2024-2025 Board of Directors
The Charro Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization which supports our schools and our community in a variety of ways.
The mission of The Charro Foundation is to promote education through scholarships and other educational programming, and to promote youth activities, sports, and cultural enrichment in our community. The Foundation proudly supports this mission by developing programming through partnerships and collaboration with Scottsdale area community organizations.
Through our education initiatives, we recognize and award students and teachers who at all times ‘give it their best.’ The Charro Foundation provides scholarship funds to students pursuing their associates and bachelor’s degrees as well as teachers who want to continue their education through certification and master’s degrees. The recipients of our scholarships are recognized at an annual banquet, during which dozens of educators and students are also honored for their commitment to educational excellence.
The Charros also support our local nonprofits through our annual grant cycle. The variety of organizations we support is as impressive as their impact in our community. The Charro Foundation emphasizes giving grants to Scottsdale-based nonprofits who do work in the areas of youth, youth sports, education, Scottsdale’s western heritage or cultural and community enrichment.
Community Partners
The Scottsdale Charros work in collaboration with a number of organizations to host spring training baseball and strengthen our community. Without the support of our community partners we would not be able to achieve our mission of promoting the City of Scottsdale and providing support and funding for education and local charities.
