In 2025, Scottsdale Charros are offering six scholarships to high school seniors who are Scottsdale residents and/or graduating from Scottsdale Unified School District. The Charros announced two new scholarships for 2025.

Wayne W. Botkin, Jr., D.D.S. Memorial Scholarship
Scottsdale Charro Wayne Botkin, Jr. made a large impact on the Scottsdale community as a leader, philanthropist, and beloved family dentist. This one-time $2,500 scholarship honors one SUSD senior who will be pursuing pre-med, pre-dental, or pre-vet studies one of the following universities: GCU, ASU, UA or NAU.

Charros Nursing Scholarship
The Scottsdale Charros have been proud supporters of Scottsdale’s front line workers including nurses. This $5,000 two-year scholarship is awarded to a Scottsdale resident who is pursuing a degree in nursing-related studies at Scottsdale Community College or one of the following universities: GCU, ASU, UA or NAU.

Scholarship applications are assessed by a review panel based on the student’s overall record of achievements and activities with an appraisal of the qualities of intellect and character by student-selected references. The deadline for this scholarship is February 28, 2025.
